Buenos Aires, December 2 (NA) – Three national deputies from Catamarca announced this Tuesday that they are breaking away from the Unión por la Patria (UxP) bloc to form the ‘Elijo Catamarca’ bloc, at the order of the Peronist governor Raúl Jalil. This was confirmed to the Argentine News Agency (NA) by legislative sources. In this way, there will be a tie between the ruling party and Peronism with 94 legislators each. The names The legislators Fernanda Avila, Fernando Monguillot, and Sebastián Nóblega communicated to President Martín Menem the formation of the “Elijo Catamarca” bloc. According to the note sent to Martín Menem, the bloc will be led by Nóblega as president and Monguillot as secretary. In the communication, Nóblega formally informed of the bloc's creation and requested its institutional recognition within the legislative body. “Without any other particular, I greet you with the utmost consideration and respect,” concluded the letter signed by the deputy. The “Elijo Catamarca” bloc thus adds to the parliamentary reordering ahead of the new legislative period. So far, there would be 94 deputies from the Peronist bloc and 94 from La Libertad Avanza (LLA), although it is not ruled out that the ruling party could add another member.
